What makes it a superfood? Does it give me super powers? How great can one little berry be for me? Can it cure cancer? No, you wont be able to fly or grow huge muscles over night, but you will feel the benefits of these super foods. Nothing really is considered a super food in actual science. However they can do some pretty spectacular things. I will be going over five foods that I think you should incorporate into your diet.

Number 1 Blue Berries
Blue Berries are chocked fill of anti-oxidants. They are a brain food. They are also full of these little things called phytochemicals. What these do is neutralize free radical damage caused by diet, drugs, alcohol, and many other things. These little berries are also great for lowering inflammation and blood sugar.
Number 2 Kale
Kale is a member of the cabbage family. In just one cup of kale there is thirty six calories and five grams of fiber. Which is twenty percent of your daily needs. It is also has ten percent of the recommended daily amount of your omega three fatty acids. which help fight against arthritis, asthma, and autoimmune disorders!
Number 3 Red Peppers
Red Peppers are loaded with Vitamin C. They have about ten times more than blueberries and about two hundred percent of your RDA (Recommended Daily Amount). They are also a great source of Vitamin B6 and Folate. Which help with anemia and turning carbs in to glucose for energy. They can also help with DNA synthesis and repair because of the folate.
Number 4 Pumpkin Seeds
In just one hundred grams of pumpkin seeds there is a whole meal in terms of calories. They have four hundred and forty six calories, nineteen grams of fat, fifty four grams of carbs, and nineteen grams of protein. They also contain seventy five percent of your RDA in magnesium. How this benefits you is by healing your kidneys and liver from free radical damage and also help with insomnia.
Number 5 Wheatgrass
Personally I have never tried this, but I have been reading and hearing a lot about this powerful little grass. In just one ounce of wheatgrass the nutrients are equivalent to two pounds of greens. It also contains every single mineral known to man. it also contains seventy percent of your chlorophyll which is a great blood builder.
Now that I have told you about five of my favorite superfoods. Get out there and try some of your own. here are some ways I incorporate these foods my diet. I like to put blueberries in my oatmeal every morning. Kale and even spinach I put in my mid morning smoothie (so around eleven am to twelve pm). Red peppers have a great variety of uses from salads to stir-fry's. Try using them in a breakfast too! Lastly pumpkin seed these are great for a snack or putting them in your smoothie. Now I am going to try some wheatgrass out and write a blog on how I felt it really bennefit me.
