Is Vegan For You?

For two and a half months now I have been on the most healthy diet known to man. But my question is. Is it for everyone?

This morning I went to the doctors office and met with my MD. We talked for a while about some of the complications I have been having with the diet. One Ive been getting really dizzy. Everytime I stand up I feel as if though I am going to fall over, I see stars, and my ears begin to ring. Two I've had shortness of breath. Its felt like my diaphragm was swollen and not allowing me to take full deep breaths. So after we talked for a while she came to the conclusion that I needed blood work done. After my blood was drawn I stood up to fill out some paperwork and instantly felt as if I had nothing left inside me. I fell back and saw more stars than I have ever seen before. I began to sweat so bad it was forming a puddle at my feet. I sat down they gave me some orange juice and put ice on my neck. After about twenty minutes I was able to hear fully again and regained all my sight. We are still waiting on the conclusion of the visit, but we are guessing that I am anemic!

Now is it the Vegan Diet or is it Me? My conclusion... its ME! There is no one to blame for this but my self. I do not eat nearly enough dark greens and my food variety is slim. It seems to consist of more poptarts and energy drinks than anything else. Which is self explanitory as to why I am feeling the way I am. Another reason this could be happening is due to loosing blood during my hernia surgery. I never want anyone to think that being a vegan is causing me to be sick. I am causing me to be sick. Its not the diet. So YES the vegan diet is for everyone, but YOU have to tak it seriously. There is no such thing as being half vegan (which I was) because it can make you bery sick! You have to take it all the way! Make the right choices in your diet. Try out the whole foods diet before you decide to go full vegan. Trust me it will make the journey much more pleasant.
